Best of Ulta Beauty's Global Skincare Section
Ulta Beauty has quickly become a favorite spot for many skincare and makeup enthusiasts, everyday women and professionals in the beauty industry. Working as a Skincare Expert for Ulta I spend a lot of time walking the aisles of the prestige and mass skincare sections, looking for something new to try. The Global skincare section has quickly become one of my favorites for a few reasons. One is that every so often it changes and I get to experience new brands and new products, also having the opportunity to try some of the latest products in Korean and Japanese skincare makes ya girl feel super trendy lol
I want to share some of my personal favorites from the Ulta Beauty global skincare section, hopefully some of these products are new to you and the new finds result in some splurging in the name of glowing skin and self care!
Peach & Lily Glass Skin Refining Serum.
This serum is a “super juice” packed with hydration and earth born, high tech ingredients. This serum promises poreless, translucent and luminous skin. Its great for treating uneven skin tone, wrinkles, fine lines, dehydration, inflammation and a host of other concerns. I have a more oily skin type and this is perfect for me because it is light weight and absorbs quickly. My skin feels super hydrated and looks very luminous after application, I do feel like with consistency you’ll see a great increase in the evenness of skins overall tone.
COSRX Advanced Snail Mucin Power Essence.
This essence from COSRX was really intriguing to me simply because of its use of snail mucin, in fact snail secretion filtrate is the first ingredient on its list and is 96% of the formula. The texture if definitely a bit tacky but when applied to the skin it feels great! With the help of snail secretion this is described as being like a multivitamin for your face, it helps with enhancing skins natural glow and healing process. This has worked wonders for my post acne scarring and moisture retention, I love it!
Goodal Phytowash Yerba Mate Cleansing Foam.
Of all the cleansers I own, this one is my absolute favorite! I honestly wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I did, it just happened to be on sale and I figured “why not!” To my surprise this gentle foaming cleanser really helped to balance the excess oils in my skin and greatly reduces the look of texture. Yerba Mate is known as “Gods Drink” which adds a boost of energy to the skin, combined with other ingredients like Acai Berry extract and Copaliba Balsam extract this transformative cleanser is a powerhouse for oily and sensitive skin types.
Kitao Matcha & Chia Seed Essence Lotion.
This essence is a dream! Its not only packed with antioxidants but it also helps to hydrate and balance as well. Quinoa helps to prevent clogged pores which is definitely one of the biggest benefits of this product for me. The unique thing about an essence is that it is serum based instead of water based like toners are and they help other products absorb deeper into the skin! Its almost like a booster, definitely one of my faves.
Mamonde Red Energy Recovery Serum.
If anti aging is a focus in your routine then you definitely need an antioxidant rich serum. This serum is infused with pomegranate which has incredible antioxidant benefits as well as being a super food providing lots of hydration. Polyphenol antioxidants are used to help revitalize skin and increase its firmness! I typically add this in at night when my skin needs some extra love and hydration, it works extremely well after heavy exfoliation.
